What is
RSS?
RSS is defined as Really Simple Syndication (also known as “Rich Site
Summary”). It’s designed to help you to easily learn about new
articles and content we've posted to this website, without having to
actively check for it.
How do I use RSS?
You will need an RSS newsreader or aggregator in order to read the XML
code. There are many different types of RSS readers. Many of the
programs are free. They include Google
Reader, News Is Free, FeedReader,
NewsGator and many more.
Once you
have installed an RSS reader on your computer, open it up. Then return
to this website and then
click on the RSS button in the sidebar to the left. A new window will pop up with a
URL highlighted. Simply copy and paste that link into your RSS reader...it
will have a button or option to “subscribe” or “add” RSS feeds.
This blog will be automatically checked on an occasional basis (you can customize
the frequency on most readers) and soon you’ll see
headlines and a summary of the latest updates to the blog.
You will have the ability to click through to this website and read the
updates or
have them pulled automatically into your RSS reader.
Most browsers will automatically allow you to subscribe to an RSS feed
as well. Look for the square orange "subscribe to this page"
link on the main blog page.
